There is something about feeling the work in the round as it progresses which is primordial. Tactile and immediate these works are born out of wanting to make bronzes, but finding that the cost was preclusive, I realised it wasn't necessarily the material I wanted but the feel. These are much warmer and more welcoming and somehow more human than if they were cast in metal. Think of them as contemporary Grave Goods.​
