Wallhangings

Arising from work inspired by primitive and ancient cave drawings and paintings. The movement to cloth provides the perfect vehicle. Using a combination of Monoprint, appliqué and stitched techniques is used to create these wall hangings. They are mainly on linen and have a lovely warmth about them on the wall quite different from a painting or traditionally framed artwork as there is no glass and they not stretched completely flat like a canvas so that they retain a good feel of the base fabric. They seem to become part of the wall. They range from abstract to somewhat figurative subjects. Email for details
